Having been in continuous operation since 1946 Galway Flying is the oldest Flying Club in Ireland. We are delighted to announce that to celebrate the occasion of our 80th Anniversary we are holding a Breakfast Fly-In on Saturday 5th of September 2026. All proceeds from the breakfast will go to the Galway Hospice. We will also have various musical events during the day.
We would love to see as many of our aviation friends as possible coming along to join our celebrations. We will be accepting arrivals from 9am to 2pm and departures must be before 6pm. We are expecting a large number of aircraft and our ATC crew advise that we can accept one arrival every 5 minutes. There is no landing fee.
The event is strictly PPR and visiting pilots are asked to book their slot on the booking form here (Link) Also visiting pilots and crew are asked to fully familiarise themselves with the airspace, frequencies and procedures here (Link) After landing aircraft will be marshalled to their parking spaces. Visitor ID badges will be issued to all pilots and passengers, and we kindly ask that these are worn at all times.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming you and your passengers in joining with us in our celebrations.
Due to restrictions included as part of the event approval , it is not permissible to host non Irish registered aircraft from outside the State, even if clearing customs at other airfields, therefore we can only accept Irish registered aircraft arriving from the Republic of Ireland.
